Roy Franklin IV, 29, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on February 26, 2026.

Roy was born on July 31, 1996, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He grew up in the community he called home and graduated from Carroll High School. Roy was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. His love for his family was evident in the way he lived his life and in the care he showed to those closest to him.

Roy leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Davina Franklin and Ivy Franklin, who were truly the light of his life.

He is survived by his loving parents, Betty Warren and Roy Franklin III; his grandmother, Jeanette Coats; and his siblings, Trevante Warren Sr., Jahnae Franklin, Alexus Franklin, Autumn Franklin, Patrick Franklin, Christian Franklin, Tevya Tipton, and Liam Franklin. Roy also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Norvell Warren; his uncle, Tyson Franklin; and his godbrother, Lil Gee Bailey.

Roy will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his presence that could brighten any room, and the lasting memories he created with those who knew and loved him. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will remain in the hearts of his children, family, and friends forever.
