RICHARD DEWAYNE HEUSON

Richard Dewayne Heuson, 69, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026.

Richard was born July 12, 1956, in Oberlin, Kansas. He grew up in Kansas and Nebraska before calling Texas home. Richard was a tender soul and a beloved father, son, brother, and uncle. He loved his family, fishing, and making jewelry.

Richard leaves behind two cherished daughters, Jennifer Lynn and Audra Kay, and four grandchildren.

He is survived by five siblings and their spouses; Jackie and Karl Young, Rhonda and George Hamaker, Mary and Scott Evans, Linda and Phillip Sloup, and Michael and Barbara Johnston. Richard also leaves behind an extended family of nieces and nephews and friends who will hold his memory dear.

He was preceded in death by his son, Travis Wayne Lundell; and his parents, Glenaford Maxine Tyrell (née Zweigle) and Bobby Gene Heuson.

Richard will be remembered for his generosity, adventurous spirit, and resourcefulness and for a soft voice that could melt your heart.

There will be no viewing or formal funeral. A private celebration of life will occur at a later date.
