Obituary

Minister Milton B.

Our Heavenly Father called another soldier home from labor to reward July 3, 2024. Milton B. Roberson was born August 30, 1955, to the late Elder Paul and Sis. Carmella Roberson in Corpus Christi TX. Milton was a truck driver and while driving from coast to coast he met Victoria L. Martin, the love of his life, on September 7, 1996, and July 21, 2000, they united in marriage. They later moved to Corpus Christi where they would share memories together. Minister Milton Roberson loved the Lord with his whole heart and loved to share the gospel of Christ everywhere he went. On December 20, 2009, under the leadership of his Pastor, Bishop Daniel Roberson of Greater Shiloh Church Of God In Christ he became a Licensed Minister. He loved to serve the Lord and God's people; therefore, he would participate and teach Sunday School, YPWW, Home and Foreign Mission, Prayer and Bible Band, and preach the Gospel when called upon. You can be sure that when he is sitting in bible study and listening to others teach, he was going to let you know what he got from studying the Word of God for himself. He would have his bible open and say, "this is what I got out of the word," and he would read right from the word and tell you how it spoke to him. He also loved to worship and praise the Lord and testify of God's goodness. Milton and his wife Victoria certainly went out to the highways and byways to compel others to Christ. They took people into their home, fed, and clothe them, held bible studies then brought them to church at Greater Shiloh. They began Unto The Lord Ministry, October 11, 2010. They would send money to help build wells in Africa. He was a member of the Gang Summit. He preached to men at the Search for Truth Mission. He fed and preached to the homeless in the City Parks and at Loafs and Fishes. Milton was a businessperson as well; he is the founder of Papa's Pies and Victory's Kitchen. Whatever Milton found his hands to do he did it and did it with passion. Milton is preceded in death by his parents Elder Paul and Sis. Carmella Roberson, his brothers Gilbert Lawrence Roberson and Christopher Foreman. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Victoria L. Roberson, his children Joe Robinson (Faye), Milton Roberson, Jr., Roseland Hupp (Rodney), Toni Johnson, Lynda Johnson, Christy Gates Grigsby (Gregory), LaRonda Grigsby, Chalette Coates; 24 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchild; 3 brothers Robert E. Roberson (Rochelle); Daniel R. Roberson, Tarshaun Morning; 1 sister Cella Boyd (Alan), all of Corpus Christi; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Milton B. Roberson, Sr. will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He has left a great legacy and ran the race set before him, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of his faith. His favorite scripture was Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." And that's how he lived his life by faith.
