Obituary

Lela Mae Roby "Diane" passed away on June 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 26, 1955, in Lexington, Mississippi to Daisy Terrell and Charles L. Roby. She was raised in Kansas City, Missouri along with her 5 siblings by her mother and loving stepfather Otis Terrell, Sr. Diane graduated from Paseo High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Her career spanned over 40 years as a nurse aide and care giver. That experience followed her from Kansas City all the way to Corpus Christi, TX, where she lived for more than 20 years. Diane's faith began at an early age where she dedicated her life to Christ and served as an active member of the Emmanual Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She relocated to Corpus Christi Texas where she continued her commitment to God and served as a member of Foundation Outreach Ministry overseer Bishop Otis Terrell Jr. She recently attended New Life Center where she recommitted her life and was baptized. Diane had a passion for sewing and spent time making quilts for family, friends, and anyone that was in need. She enjoyed vacationing, shopping, and taking walks to enjoy the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Evangelist Daisy Terrell, Otis Terrell, Sr., brothers Charles L. Roby and Robert L. Roby, three grandsons: Maurice, Christion, and Londyn. She leaves to cherish her memory, her three sons: Harold Hatch Jr. (LeTina) of Palm Coast, FL, Lamont Hatch of Las Vegas, NV, and Christopher Hatch (Christina) of Corpus Christi, TX, two sisters: Teresa McGee (Jesse) of Kansas City, MO, Leola Phenix (William) of Kansas City, MO, one brother: Bishop Otis Terrell, Jr. (Verna) of Corpus Christi, TX, as well as a host of uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She also leaves to cherish eight grandchildren: Iyaunna, Lyanna, Nadia, Harmoni, Ch'Risma, Harper, Makya, Christopher Jr, one great granddaughter: Ce'Veah, and special friend: Pat Robinson.
