He was born on January 18, 1961 in Corpus Christi Tx to Arthur Kinney and Minnie Kinney.

Kirk is preceded in death by his mother Minnie Kinney, brothers Tyron Kinney and Gary Kinney.

He is also survived by his father, Arthur Kinney. Stepmom Shirley Kinney; Siblings : Daniel Kinney, Vicki Davis, Lisa Kinney, Kimberly Foster (Darrell Foster) and Jacob Heard

Kirkland loved his father, and he was very protected of his sisters and brother. He loved socializing with other people. His best Friends were Joe Stewart and Thurmond.
