John Kight Rogers, Jr. was born to John Kight Rogers, Sr. and Barbara " Teddy" Matthews on July 20, 1952 in Corpus Christi, Tx.

John attended school in CCISD and graduated of Richard King High School. John  went on to attend Del Mar college and finished at TAMU - Kingsville where he majored in Psychology. John was self- employed of Diversified Service, Inc. John worked a variety of jobs and was a successful business man most of his life.

Just to mention a few job careers: Bayview Hospital - MHMR - Charlie's Half way house - Kentucky Fried Chicken, and met the original "Colonel Sanders". Manger of American National Life Insurance, Comp. Had his hand in the Construction Business, Maintenance Supervisor with housing authority. Assisted in opening a ' long John Silver's at the age of 16.

John never met a stranger and was ready to help anyone in need all of his life. John excepted Christ at an early time in his life, and enjoyed attending church as much as he could ( Oak Park Methodist Church). John was also a lover of fishing, fixing on car's and attending AA meeting. (Humility).

He leaves to cherish his memories: (5) Children : Jeremy, Krystal Rogers- Medina, Kayla, Cheyenne and Hunter. all Rogers.(Sisters) :Martha Rogers,- Hans-Oman, Mary No-Mi-Na Rogers- Hines, and Elsie Rogers-Parish. One brother Donald K. Rogers. Five grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
