Jo Ann Pattillo June 1936 to May 15, 2021 just two weeks short of her 85th birthday. She lived in the house she grew up in that her paternal grandfather built. Coach or Miss Pattillo was a retired teacher from Robstown. During her career she was an inspiration to many young girls and women as a Girl's PE teacher, girl's basketball coach, swimming and diving teacher/coach, high school tennis coach, and adult swimming at Del Mar College and more. She then worked several years with Nueces County Parks at the Robstown facility over seeing T-Ball and Little Miss Kickball and other activities including the founder of the Cottonfest held in October and was the inspiration behind the Robstown Nueces County Park and before retiring added the North Park. She never married or had children. She was preceded in death by her parents and grand-parents and her older brother William A. II (Sonny or Bill). She is survived by two nieces Diane Schanen, Valerie Springer and nephew William A. Pattillo III (Trey), her older sister Shirley Hanna and niece Lee Ann Wetherby. The family asks that in lieu of flowers and other items that you take a yearly membership ($25/year), equal to your considered donation, to the Robstown Area Historical Museum (501-C3) where Jo Ann was one of the original 5 founding members that started it. There will be a Memorial Service at 2pm on Sat 29 May 2021 around the pond at the North Park of the Nueces County Park north of Robstown.
