George Lee Washington, Sr. Was born December 29, 1950, to Pauline and Robert Washington, Sr. in Houston, TX. He accepted the LORD JESUS CHRIST at an early age. He peacefully departed this side of life on June 4, 2023.

On May 1, 1976, George Lee Washington, Sr., married Janice Marie Meador in Corpus Christi, TX. They were married 47 years when the LORD called him home.From their union were born three sons, George Lee Washington Jr, James Robert Washington, and Jonathan Ray Washington. They later welcomed and adopted three daughters, Reather, Casey, and LaKeisha; raising six children.

He was an educator and mentor, in the school system, for over 20 years. He ended his career at West Oso ISD. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and Sincere Brothers Organization. He was a community activist his entire life.

George Sr. was the definition of a GOD-CENTERED Man, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Mentor, and Advocate. He spent his life loving, serving, and protecting others with GOD'S love.

He leaves us with many precious memories and his continued legacy through, Wife: Janice M. Washington; Children: George Jr. & Jacki,(George lll, Jackson, Jayden, Lashann), James & Annette (James Jr., Logan, Kiara-Lynn, Kora),Jonathan, LaKeisha, Reather, Casey; Siblings: Sonja Myers, Sherl Streeter; 17 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; 16 Nephews and Nieces.

George Sr. is preceded in death by both parents, 2 brothers, and a sister.
