Obituary

Dorothy Marie Plummer was born February 28, 1938, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to the late Andrew and Ada Galloway. She was the youngest of 12 siblings. She joined Calvary First Baptist Church at a very early age under the leadership of the late Dr. Henry Clay Dilworth, Jr., and she continued her faithful service to God under the current leadership of Bishop C. E. Richardson, Sr. She served the Lord by singing in the Women's Chorus, Gospel Expression Choir, the Mass Choir and working in the Mission for nearly all of her life.

She was a devoted Mother who loved the Lord and her one and only child, Kimberly Plummer. She had a strong yearning for politics, sports, and reading. She even wrote President Obama and received an acknowledgment from the President. She was also a praying Mother who loved to read the word of God.

Her life's work included working as a Certified Nursing Assistant for various Nursing Facilities and as a Dispatcher/Supervisor for the Corpus Christi Independent School Buses. She walked and talked with a softness and gentleness that drew people to her from all walks of life, young and old. The fact that she attended the Kingdom Training School of Ministry helped her to build great friendships and fellowship. She will be remembered as one who exhibited

patience for listening and counseled others with Godly wisdom. Always encouraging and motivating those around her.

It was on October 5, 2022, in the early afternoon, that the Good Lord looked down below and said, "My child, you have ran your race well, your work on earth is complete. Come now and take your sweet rest. I will wipe away all your tears, your pain shall be no more. Here and now, I give you a peaceful sleep, enter into eternal rest. Welcome Home."

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew, and Ada Galloway. Her sisters: Mildred Galloway, Ruth Coleman, Ruby Adams (Harry), Lois Haywood. Brothers; Raymond Galloway, Boyd Galloway, Ursel Galloway, and Lorenzo Galloway.

Left to cherish her fond memories is her daughter, Kimberly Plummer. Nieces; Mary Frances Clark, Annie Thompson, a nephew Floyd Galloway and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and church family.
